El Diabolo Run - Day 4 - Ensenada: Behind the Scenes

The run from San Felipe to Ensenada was pretty uneventful. Although, the Mexican miles had done a number on some of the machines. Day 4 was pretty mellow with lots of wrenching going on. Tyler and Wes had their film crew working overtime, doing interviews and showcasing some of the bikes. Below are a few Behind the Scenes shots with Dan Collins (son of Bootsy and Joan and somehow also related to Phil) and his Knuckle and Jeff's unmolested Ironhead.
You will see more of Dan's bike in an upcoming Chop Cult feature.
...and so much for that - except to add - look out for the DVD on EDR 2011 brought to you by the good folks of Lowbrow Customs...

And so much for that.

They've acquired quite the patina - but really it's the foulest most rotten thing. Probably some sort of cancer causing fungus growing on it...
In any case, here is a shot of the set in progress. Lot's to do still...

On the trail of Harvey Mushman: Mescalito 1970

It was early morning in the Chihuahan desert, and there were signs that we might be losing control of the situation. The race was about to start and we couldn't figure out where to go...
Just then -out of nowhere- a man appeared and pointed us in the right direction. They called him Harvey, but his real name was Steve.
As we set off to the starting line, Roger turned to me and said " We'll need more drink to survive this thing - and we'll have to arm ourselves." Why not, it seemed reasonable...
